The accident wasn't my fault. How do I get the car fixed without paying?

You have two roads: the other driver's insurer, or your own with a refund later. Here's how each works in Arizona and how we keep you out of pocket either way.

What 'accepting liability' looks like

An adjuster confirms in writing that their driver was at fault and opens a property damage claim. Until you have that, don't assume they'll pay; use road two if the car can't wait.

Rental and loss of use

The at-fault insurer owes you transportation while the car is down. Our loaner at $35/day is almost always under their daily limit, and we bill them.

Diminished value

A repaired car is worth less than an unhit one. Arizona lets you claim that difference from the at-fault insurer. We provide the repair documentation; an appraiser or attorney handles the claim.

  1. Road one: their insurerFile a third-party claim. If they accept liability they pay the repair, the tow, and a rental or our loaner. No deductible.
  2. Road two: your insurerIf they're slow, dispute it, or the driver is uninsured, file with yours. Pay your deductible (minus up to $1,000 here), and your insurer recovers it from theirs.
  3. Either way: tell them Best DealYou choose the shop under Arizona law. We take it from there with whichever adjuster is involved.

Common questions

Do I have to give the other insurer a recorded statement?

No. You can answer basic questions and decline the recording. Be accurate and brief.

They offered a quick check. Should I take it?

Not before the car is inspected. Hidden damage found later is on you if you've signed a release.

What if liability is split?

Arizona uses comparative fault: if you're 20% at fault, they pay 80%. Your own collision coverage can fill the gap, and the waiver applies to that deductible.

Send a few photos. We'll take it from there.

Upload pictures of the damage for a preliminary price range, or call and talk to someone at the shop.
